Talking with industry leaders is always a privilege, and my recent session with Amy (Shih-An) Sun was no exception. Thanks to Oddfellows' Open Studio program, I had the chance to connect with Amy and gain insights that are invaluable for anyone in the design and animation fields. During our conversation, we delved into topics like the inner workings of major studios, the impact of AI on the design industry, and the intricacies of hiring processes. Amy's feedback on my portfolio was incredibly detailed, pinning down areas that need more polishing and offering suggestions for improvement. It was interesting knowing about her journey from Savannah College of Art and Design to Oddfellows. She also shared her thoughts on some standout studios worth exploring. Once upon a time Chris Kelly - Oddfellows gave me one of the most original briefs in my career; a society of cats who've evolved far beyond humans..., they worship a STAR which in their religion also represents the core of all important smells for cats; the butthole.
