Lukas Biewald thank you for your friendship and including me on this amazing journey. Weights & Biases team amazing what you accomplished! Excited for whats still ahead with CoreWeave!
Octave is an early-stage, founder-centric fund investing in enterprise data opportunities. As former founders, we deeply understand the highlights and lowlights of the founder journey. We strive to be close partners of the companies we invest in and take a hands-on approach to helping navigate the ups and downs of early company building. Our belief that machine learning is the transformative technology of our time is built on a deep experience building data products. We're excited by new ideas that help unlock the power of machine learning by solving key problems in Infrastructure, Applied ML, Dev Tools, and Security and Privacy. Data is at its Kitty Hawk moment and we're thrilled to be a lifting force for the next generation of founders seeking to defy gravity. If you're in the early stages of company-building, we'd love to connect with you. ?? Join Octave as an Associate – Former Founders Wanted ?? I am looking to hire the first junior investor to join me at Octave.? As I have been interviewing candidates, the key requirement that has jumped out is having been on the founder journey, successful or otherwise.? There are clearly aspects of this experience that would be useful to fund building, but the main driver is how we work with the founders we invest in.? The school of hard-knocks having tried to take something from 0-1 is essential.? It allows us to act as a shock absorber for founders when they hit the inevitable bumps.? It gives us empathy for the difficulty, both technical and emotional, in building anything of value.? If you know anyone who has been on the founder's journey and emerged on the other side wanting to use their scar tissue productively, please share this post with them.
