🛡️ World PI Week: A Call to Action for Plasma Donation 🩸 As World Primary Immunodeficiency Week (April 22–29) begins, we’re highlighting the ongoing challenges faced by individuals like Susan, who lives with a primary immunodeficiency (PI). For Susan and millions worldwide, the risk of severe infections remains a daily concern, even five years after the onset of COVID-19. In a recent media tour conducted in partnership with Octapharma Plasma, Inc. Susan shared her personal journey, emphasizing the critical role of plasma-derived therapies in managing PI. Joining her was Laurel, a Senior Immunology Clinical Nurse Educator at Octapharma Plasma and a plasma recipient herself, who provided insights into how plasma donations are transformed into life-saving treatments.
