Still processing how I felt at Opportunity Collaboration and the lessons I have come back with. Spending time with my Black Fox Global, B Corp colleagues Julia Chacur and Lisa Heinert , sharing space and laughs with Sandra Ortiz Diaz and interacting with Tia Hodges was beautiful to say the least. Top that with the nearly 400 people changemakers from around the world who shared this space of trust and camaraderie. Natalie Rekstad rightly speaks about the energy and spirit in the room along with the shared concerns on fundraising and resource mobilisation. Access and information are two very important levers that enable an organisation to raise funds and resources. We need to do better to enable this space as funders. Recent Leadership Transition at Connective Impact! We’re thrilled to introduce Topher Wilkins as Connective Impact’s new Chief Executive Officer! When asked what inspired him to step into this role and what he’s most looking forward to, Topher shared: "My calling is to facilitate human-to-human connections among impact leaders, building a foundation of trust, empathy, and mutual respect across the ecosystem. This foundation allows us to create far more effective and lasting partnerships and collaborations." With 15 years of experience fulfilling this mission at Opportunity Collaboration, Topher now brings his vision to Connective Impact. Reflecting on the transition, he mentioned: "When Joanne Sonenshine reached out with the idea of being her successor, it dawned on me that I could continue my calling here. Light bulbs flashed, the ground shook, and through a values-aligned process, I’m incredibly proud to take the torch from Joanne." My passion for this work has been shaped by my experiences as a fundraiser and intermediary, with all its joys and challenges." In addition to her role as COO at Opportunity Collaboration, Jess is looking forward to learning and growing with the CI community and is excited about the impact potential of bridging her experiences and networks toward our shared goals of alleviating poverty and injustice.
