Do you know which bin to put your smoke and carbon monoxide alarms, or fire extinguisher in? To keep your family and home safe, replace smoke and carbon monoxide alarms every 10 years. Check the back of the alarm, or the manufacturer’s guide, to see if it contains radioactive materials. If it does not, the battery goes to OC Household Hazardous Waste and the rest of the alarm goes in the trash. Stay Visible: Add reflective tape or glow sticks to costumes for better visibility. ??? Decorate Carefully: Use battery-operated candles in pumpkins and keep flammable decorations away from open flames. ??
