One reason Southeastern New England is America's only ocean-specific Technology Hub is because of the world-class research institutions that call our region home. And when these institutions come together with a united goal of advancing ocean research, anything is possible. That's exactly what is happening with the NOAA: National Oceanic & Atmospheric Administration's Ocean Exploration Cooperative Institute. Headquartered at University of Rhode Island's Bay Campus in Narragansett and in partnership with the Woods Hole Oceanographic Institution, University of New Hampshire, The University of Southern Mississippi, and Ocean Exploration Trust, this Institute is developing and using new technologies to enhance understanding of the seafloor. ICYMI: This partnership has been granted a five-year extension from NOAA, and we look forward to seeing all that they continue to accomplish!
