Last week we had the opportunity to “Paint for a Purpose” with our new friends OceanFirst Bank! Together we created this beautiful mural that is filled with playful images like a playground, carousel, butterflies, and adorable animals. Stay tuned to see the completed mural installed in Hackensack Medical Center’s Pediatric Unit! Sponsor: OceanFirst Bank OceanFirst Foundation OceanFirst Bank Hackensack Meridian Health Heather Buggee

One of the many reason's why OceanFirst Bank is considered one of the best companies to work for in U.S. News!! I had a great time volunteering in our annual CommUNITYFirst Day! Elijah's Promise leverages their motto Food Changes Lives and provides meal services, culinary job training and other programs to maximize positive change within their communities.
As part of OceanFirst Bank's CommUNITYFirst Day, our team volunteered at Elijah's Promise in New Brunswick, NJ. Together with 30 volunteers, we cooked over 600 meals. A special thanks to Chrissy Banks for guiding us and allowing us to contribute to the amazing work done by Elijah's Promise for the community. The Value of Volunteering: Beyond Giving Back Volunteering isn’t just about lending a helping hand—it’s about creating meaningful change in our communities and ourselves. When we volunteer, we: ?? Learn New Skills: Whether it’s leadership, communication, or technical skills, volunteering often presents opportunities to grow in areas we may not explore in our day-to-day roles. ?? Expand Our Networks: Volunteering connects us with people from all walks of life, opening doors to new relationships and collaborations. ?? Gain Perspective: Stepping outside our usual environments allows us to see the world from different angles, fostering empathy and understanding. ?? Make an Impact: The collective efforts of volunteers have the power to transform lives, address pressing issues, and build stronger communities. I had the privilege of volunteering with teammates at the Food Bank of South Jersey for OceanFirst's ComUNITYFirst Day. What a great experience! Volunteering enriches us as individuals and professionals. If you haven’t already, consider finding a cause that resonates with you and make a difference. The returns are invaluable! #Volunteering #Leadership #CommunityImpact #OceanFirstAssociate #FoodBankofSouthJersey #ComUNITYFirstday
