This amazing #startup was a 2022 Ocean Exchange Finalist - look at their progress now! Atlantic Sea Farms is a woman-run, mission-driven seaweed farming company. They make products from regeneratively farmed sea greens and have extensively grown their product portfolio! Congratulations to the team at ASF. #OceanExchange
As we speak, Atlantic Sea Farms demos are taking place in Florida and along California coast. We're talkin' all things superfood seaweed to Whole Foods Market, The Fresh Market, and Mother's Market & Kitchen shoppers ?? With kelp's high nutrient density and positive impact on the health of our oceans as it's farmed, we're ALWAYS down to help grow the seaweed fanbase with free samples and awesome discussions about our work and products. Some of our fave quotes from customers at demos so far: "My 7 year old normally doesn’t like fermented food. I can’t believe she wants this one!" “I grew up eating seaweed. I can tell this color of the seaweed salad is all- natural.” "Yum, this veggie burger will taste really good with some potatoes on the side.”

For those who didn't hear the details behind the $2.9 Billion at the event - Millicent Pitts, CEO and Executive Director at Ocean Exchange provided us with an explanation: The $2.9 Billion is an analysis of how much funding (i.e., grants, investments, IPOs and exits by acquisition) Ocean Exchange finalists and winners have had since their participation with Ocean Exchange. While we do not take credit for their entire success or amount, we have an impact and our process adds value to the startup advancement. The networking opportunities we provide, collaborations, introductions, and non-dilutive funds that propel progress all emphasize our goal here at #OceanExchange
