The #OCCP CEO is hosting final interviews Today and Wednesday prior to the paid in-person training this weekend in Shalimar, Florida. ??Making the move to child care: Transitioning your little one to child care can be a little easier with these tips!?? 1?? Storytelling magic: Share stories that paint child care as an exciting adventure. Reading together can help your child look forward to new experiences! 2?? Friendly faces: Arrange playdates with soon-to-be buddies! Meeting new friends beforehand can ease those first-day jitters. Also, if possible, arrange for your child to tour the child care facility and meet the teachers or providers who will be working with your child throughout the day. 3?? A piece of home: Keep a familiar photo or trinket with your child to provide comfort throughout the day. 4?? Positive vibes only: Emphasize all the fun, games, and new friends awaiting them at child care. It's a place for exciting discoveries! Let's make this transition full of smiles and excitement! ?? Where does the funding for the OCC Project come from? Answer: Operation Child Care Project is entirely funded by private donations. While it can present challenges, it allows us to maintain families as our stakeholders in everything we do. It costs approximately $50 - $75 per family that completes our case management. Many of our families go on to donate $50 back to the organization to cover the cost of the families that come after them. Operation Child Care Project, a 501(c)(3) non-profit, ensures that military families have access to affordable, high-quality child care options. This empowers them to pursue their career goals and create stable environments for their quality of life. We strive to bridge the gap between the demand and availability of childcare services through data-driven decision-making, authentic storytelling, and advocacy.
