For the first event in our series, 'Dinner of the Icons' we brought out Chef Andrea Campani from Il Borro Toscana to design and execute an authentic Tuscan meal for our guests that would complement the wines of Il Borro and honor the Italian heritage of FERRAGAMO Occasions Caterers is no stranger to hosting a guest chef in our kitchen. It was an exciting challenge for our team to work with Chef Andrea. From finding times to meet with an 8 hour time difference, to sourcing local ingredients that would meet the chef's expectations. We met virtually many many times leading up to the event, along with texts and emails to ensure everything was perfect. We were lucky to not only have Chef Andrea execute the event with us, but also work in our kitchen with our chefs for several days leading up to the dinner. Last week, we had the pleasure of launching our first event in our series 'Dinner Of The Icons' in partnership with FERRAGAMO and Il Borro Toscana. The event, hosted at The REACH at The John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts, was made even more special by the presence of our hosts Daniella Vitale (CEO of Ferragamo USA) and Salvatore Ferragamo (Founder of Il Borro). Guests enjoyed an exclusive preview of the Ferragamo Spring Collection while indulging in an authentic Tuscan meal crafted by the talented Chef Andrea Campani, who flew in from Il Borro to bring the flavors of Tuscany to life.
