A few weeks ago, we had the privilege of hosting a Solarize Costa Mesa workshop, which was attended by County of Orange Supervisor Katrina Anne Foley. It was a remarkable event that brought together community members passionate about sustainable energy solutions for their homes. In the photo, you can see Katrina Foley alongside Senait Forthal, the Executive Director of OC Goes Solar, as well as Katrina Foley's Field Representative Robbie LaBounty. This event marked a pivotal step toward promoting renewable energy initiatives within our community. We are grateful to everyone who participated and look forward to seeing the positive outcomes of these efforts as we launch our latest Solarize cycle! #solarenergy #costamesa #solarpanels #cleanenergy #orangecounty

OC Goes Solar is devastated by the fires impacting Los Angeles this week. We want to thank all of the brave first responders, and our hearts go out to everyone who has been affected. We urge our community members to please stay safe, check in on one another, and follow local authorities for guidance. Some places to find information include: The Los Angeles Fire Department: LAFD.org/alerts Watch Duty App: www.watchduty.org/ Ready LA County: https://lnkd.in/eM8RAbrm Ready OC: www.readyoc.com/ As a Southern California-based nonprofit, we’re committed to supporting communities in going solar. Tragically, these fires demonstrate the urgency with which we must transition to a clean energy future. Wildfires, power outages, and other destructive events are exacerbated by climate change. Making the switch to renewable energy not only cuts greenhouse gas emissions and reduces the impacts of climate change but also gains us energy independence.
