Today I was on a call with a new financial advisor friend, and the topic of the fear of business growth not materializing came up—basically, potential failure. Even when business is booming, and demand is high, what if it goes away tomorrow? Giving in too much to a scarcity mindset can put us in stasis as owners and operators. Perhaps what I love most about what we do at Objective Brand is that a *good* brand helps show us the future. It materializes our vision and gives us a standard to live up to. It gives businesses permission to swing for the fences with the confidence of a tangible framework to follow.

Our youngest subject yet ?? We're working on a killer brand for my buddy Samuel Deane. Can't wait to show this one off. If you aren't telling your story through video, you're missing a massive opportunity. ? Viewers retain 95% of a message when they watch it in a video compared to 10% when reading it in text. ? Videos generate 1200% more shares than text and image content combined. ? It's 53 times more likely that your website reaches the first page of Google search results if it includes video. The stats keep going. It's a no-brainer investment and a requirement for all new projects we kick off.

Last year, we held our first team onsite at Objective Brand. There were only 2 of us. At our next gathering, we had 3. Last week, we held our third team event, and we’re now up to 5 members. We spent a couple of days coworking, dining, playing board games, and watching an MLB game. Nothing too fancy, but it was invaluable for team bonding. This past year+ has been a fun journey, transitioning from a freelance consultancy to a full-fledged studio. It isn't the first team I've built, nor the fastest to hire, but it feels different to start from zero and be wholly self-funded. Soon we’re opening a role for our 6th team member and second designer. We’re also vetting our waitlist for a potential additional build this fall. I just returned from a two week European vacation. This same trip a year ago would’ve meant halting or seriously slowing business at Objective Brand. This year, we started growing. I’m feeling deeply grateful for our amazing team and their ability to step up, and operate at a high level without me. It's our birthday ??
Boom. Just like that, we turned 2. When I started Objective Brand, I didn’t have much of a goal in mind other than having fun creating things with businesses I liked. We’ve built a lot to celebrate since then. As the company matures, so has our vision: “To empower hundreds of good-hearted financial companies to build better businesses. By doing so, we can impact the lives of tens of thousands or even millions of people. We connect genuine people with professionals who care. Our work has the power to create a ripple effect of change and help make finance more human.” Like most vision statements, it’s lofty and a little cheesy. But it’s honest. I’m proud of our work and the standard we set. We’re selective about who we work with and gravitate to like-minded people who give a damn. Together, we’re accomplishing a lot.
