This week, I had the opportunity to attend the 2025 IBS Builders Conference: NAHB International Builders Show, thanks to a good friend (Chi-Mar Construction) in the luxury home-building space who encouraged me to check it out. With 70,000+ industry professionals in one place, it was a great chance to connect with developers, builders, and industry leaders. While much of the content focused on builders and materials, there was also a strong presence from tech vendors, including our partner Ubiquiti Inc., where we discussed the latest in smart home technology. With OberaConnect Fiber to the Home solutions, we’re providing fiber optic infrastructure for large-scale residential developments—communities built for the future. As we prepare for the work for the Casa Magnolia community in partnership with The Staver Group, the discussions at IBS reinforced how connectivity, security, and smart home integrations are at the forefront of what developers need. The show also generated strong leads for bulk fiber, security, and IT solutions, proving that high-speed, reliable fiber isn’t a luxury—it’s a necessity.
