Millions of older Americans are missing out on crucial health care services due to their lack of internet access. With the help of a pilot program funded by UnitedHealthcare, Senior Planet will help older adults learn how to navigate telehealth services and online resources, improving their overall health outcomes. According to a recent National Telecommunications and Information Administration (NTIA) survey, there has been a 4.2% increase in adults over 65 using the internet! This means over 550,000 older adults are now online, benefiting from improved access to telehealth services and mitigating social isolation, which contributes to better health outcomes and overall wellbeing.
