Older Adults Technology Services (OATS) from AARP

As technology continues to advance, many older adults are still unable to access digital resources due to income and language barriers. With funding from County of Santa Clara and in partnership with AACI (Asian Americans for Community Involvement), OATS has provided digital literacy training in multiple languages to over 1,800 low-income seniors in Santa Clara County, bridging the digital divide for underserved communities. At a tech-oriented community fair in Miami, Senior Planet joined Comcast, Miami-Dade County, and other nonprofits to on an initiative that supplied 100 families in Miami-Dade County with laptops. Mayor Daniella Levine Cava expressed gratitude to Comcast and the other organizations involved for helping to bridge the digital divide in the community.
