A youth organization improving climate action across systems to reduce health risks in low-income settings.
关于我们
We are a 501(c)(3), female- and minority-led organization and currently run a global virtual office structure with group operations and programs in the USA and Nigeria, with others in Kenya and Zimbabwe. Our mission is to promote transdisciplinary efforts to improve planetary action across systems to protect the health of people in low-income settings through research, advocacy, and education. Young people have been at the core of our operations since 2019, championing advocacy, education, and research in the climate, health, and equity nexus. We currently have over 1900 young people from 54 countries who have been involved in our activities, such as training, fellowships, community engagements, etc.

? Today we release a ?? report: "Healthy NDCs 3.0: Embedding Health in National Climate Plans for 2035" where we?examine “third generation†of #NationallyDeterminedContributions (NDC 3.0s), the 2035 climate plans submitted to the UNFCCC by?#COP30?host?#Brazil, the?#UnitedStates, #UnitedKingdom, #NewZealand,?#Switzerland, #UnitedArabEmirates?and?#Uruguay, ahead of a February 10th UNFCCC deadline. The?analysis?also looks at 2035 emission reductions targets from?#Canada?and?#Japan, and updated 2030 commitments from?#Botswana?and?#Panama. The report finds that while governments are giving greater priority to health when setting national climate policies, many have yet to close crucial gaps on whole-of-economy emissions reductions, health metrics, financial commitments, and transparency. ? Later today we also invite you to join us for a debrief with more insights and discussions. ??? Feb 10 at 3:30pm UTC Registrations: https://lnkd.in/dxn4f9q9 ?? Youth Leading Climate Action Africa’s youth are powerful changemakers. With their energy and passion, they can drive solutions for climate and health challenges. Through Teach Climate for Health Africa, we’re equipping young people (ages 16-35) with tools to: Adopt local classes and teach younger children, Inspire climate-smart practices in their communities, and Become ambassadors for change. By combining knowledge with action, youth can amplify the impact of climate and health education across schools and neighborhoods. Together, we’re building a movement—one class, one community at a time. #TeachClimateForHealth #YouthForChange #ClimateActionNow

Empowering Teachers to Shape the Future In Africa, educators are at the forefront of change. But many lack the tools to teach how climate change affects health and daily life. Through Teach Climate for Health Africa, we're empowering teachers with: -Comprehensive lesson plans, -Interactive teaching materials, and -Professional workshops for climate and health education. These resources help teachers: Engage students with hands-on learning, Foster critical thinking about climate solutions, and Build resilience in their communities.
