WE'RE HIRING! I O+FS is currently accepting applications for an Orthopedic Cast Technician position! The Cast Technician is a key member of the back-office staff who works closely with the Medical Assistants, Physicians, and our patients. The primary responsibility is application and removal of casts, splints and durable medical equipment. The Cast Technician oversees cast room maintenance to include supply ordering, equipment maintenance and autoclaving. The Cast Technician is responsible for training staff in application and removal of casts. The program is designed to provide the certified athletic trainer with post-professional experience and knowledge specific to musculoskeletal evaluation, diagnosis, and treatment in the physician practice setting. Highlights of the program include rotations through a wide variety of subspecialties (sports medicine, foot/ankle, pediatrics, etc.), training as a physician extender, learning to interpret diagnostic imaging, casting, and the opportunity to learn sterile technique and function as a competent assistant in the operating room (with successful OTC certification). WE'RE HIRING! | O+FS is currently accepting applications for our 12-month Athletic Training Residency program. The Residency contains both clinical and didactic learning opportunities designed to provide the certified athletic trainer with post-professional experience and knowledge specific to musculoskeletal evaluation, diagnosis, and treatment in the physician practice setting. The program includes clinical practice, skill advancement, surgical assisting, and research opportunities. The Resident shall be mentored by other staff athletic trainers as well as physicians. The candidate will have the opportunity to learn sterile technique and function as a competent assistant in the operating room with successful OTC certification. General supervision and direction will be provided with respect to direct patient care. The candidate will work closely with multiple physicians, medical assistants, nurses, and other healthcare professionals and become an integral member of the healthcare team.
