We believe in Investing in Our Future—a more actionable approach than simply aiming for “no poverty.” What’s our relationship with the UN? It’s evolving. Our work started with Bill Gates’ How to Avoid a Climate Disaster but expanded to rethinking the UN’s 17 Sustainable Development Goals. Did we really try to raise $150 billion? Yes. The University at Buffalo said no. So we went private. Simple as that. Why not a nonprofit? Managing volunteers isn’t for us, and raising billions through donations isn’t practical.
