Following Tennessee Governor Bill Lee’s declaration of March as Colorectal Cancer Awareness Month and its call for individuals to remain vigilant about colorectal cancer screenings, Associate Manager of Communications and Marketing Michael Holtz is amplifying awareness efforts at ORAU. He has installed a local United in Blue flag display on our main campus in Oak Ridge. The flag display features 100 blue flags and serves as a visual reminder that colorectal cancer is the leading cause of cancer deaths among men under 50 and is the second leading cause of cancer deaths among women under age 50.
