关于我们
We believe Miami is the most poetic city in the world. Through projects, events, and publishing, we create a platform for amplifying Miami’s people, investing in a new shared narrative of our city and a more equitable picture of its future. We believe that art and self-expression should be equally available to every Miamian.

???Want to be part of the 2025 O, Miami Poetry Festival and inspire a new Miami dance work? We're calling on all poetry, art, and dance lovers! Submit your words to inspire the narrative and choreography of a poetic-theatrical dance performance by Pioneer Winter Collective in collaboration with O, Miami premiering during the 2025 Poetry Festival in April. No experience is needed—just your creativity! ???? Visit this link https://bit.ly/4gD46sb for generative poetry prompts to guide your submission. Submissions are open until March 14, 2025. All submissions will influence the in-development showcase of “In the Belly of the Bird/Godmother”; a poetic-theatrical movement experience that explores how a mother's voice lives on—even when physical presence is lost. Director and Choreographer Pioneer Winter's mother passed away at age 37; now that Pioneer is her same age, he wonders if an African Grey parrot - given away after her death - still carries his mother's voice. This personal journey unfolds onstage through an intergenerational cast of women in their early 60s and blending dance, spoken word, and dreamlike imagery. The performance dives into the fantastical premise of seeking a mother's spirit within a missing bird. Sign up for our newsletter to stay up to date on all things “In the Belly of the Bird/Godmother.
