Combined with outside experience and the years at O'Fallon Casting, Steve has been in the Tooling Trade for 31 years. ? "My job is challenging in a good way! It keeps my mind sharp and gives me opportunities to use creative solutions to improve process efficiency." ? Steve points out that there are multiple positive benefits working for O'Fallon Casting. Mentioning how great his team works together, the ability to improve his code/programing writing for the CNC machines, the trust the company has given him with more difficult projects, and all the gratification that comes along with these things. ? When Steve isn't working, he very proudly teaches an Advanced Machine Technology class twice a week at Ranken in Troy. For the month of September our employee spotlight shines on Travis M. Travis has been with O’Fallon Casting for 28 years and has excelled in a number of positions. He started his career in the water wash department as a casting cleaner, and over the next years he became proficient in the positions of cut off operator, puller/pourer, MPI heavy wax operator B, and his current position as MPI heavy wax operator A. Travis works on the new samples and soluble jobs on 1st shift. “I like to train people. I enjoy teaching them a job and watching them get it.” Travis also credits how much he has learned over the years to his trainers and fellow employees here at OFC.
