Angelica is a talented Landscape Designer, her passion and dedication are always present in her work. Cheers to the past 5 years and the exciting projects ahead! Here's a little about her journey in her own words: "The last five years with the O’Dell/Westwood team have been a rollercoaster! I had the unique opportunity to start the with landscape team as an intern, joining the team full-time when I graduated from university. My time as an intern created a strong foundation for my design and CAD skills. I am so proud to be in the landscape architecture industry. I get the daily opportunity to contribute to projects that provide joy through recreation and serve a variety of communities. Anyone up for a swim in this heat?! ?? We are thrilled to announce the completion of another significant community project in the Bay Area! O’Dell Engineering, a Westwood Company, provided landscape architecture and civil engineering services for the Ladera Recreation Center in Portola Valley, CA. Our scope of work included supporting the design of two new pools (a lap pool and wading pool), an expansive 8,000 SF pool deck, a water-efficient landscape design, and new bio-retention areas for stormwater management. Anticipated to be a highlight of this summer, we are pleased to inform you that the project has secured its permits and is now officially open! We extend our heartfelt thanks to the Ladera Recreation District for choosing us for this exciting project, and to our dedicated inter-disciplinary team whose passion and expertise made it all possible. Thank you to RS+M Design and Engineering for the beautiful aerial pic! Happy swim season!

Join us in congratulating Joaquin Lopez, PLS on ten years with O'Dell Engineering, a Westwood company! ? He is a Project Manager on our Land Surveying team. Joaquin says, "These last 10 years of my career have been both the most challenging and the most rewarding years of my professional life. First, I passed the California Professional Land Surveyors exam and attained my license. Then, O’Dell Engineering, a Westwood company, took a chance on me and offered me a leadership position. What came after that is amazing to reflect on: opening a Fresno office and growing the staff from 2 to 17, holding multiple officer-ships for the local ACEC chapter, and managing several multi-million dollar contracts with the California High-Speed Rail Authority. Each of these milestones came with their own successes and learning lessons and I wouldn’t have it any other way. I’m proud to have been a part of this team and look forward to sharing more milestones with them!" Thanks Joaquin for all of your hard work and dedication throughout the years.
