I have so much gratitude for the dedication of this team to make a difference with concrete design intent for Kendrick Elementary School. We cannot say enough about the critical and unwavering support of Gloria Barrera, Chief of Operations and Facilities for Waco ISD. One year ago today, we were preparing for our first Pre-Bid Mockup to train the subcontractor community on this new approach. Today we have a low carbon concrete building that required 24% less water and is on track to deliver early - using one mix design on foundations slabs and the majority of the site paving. This was not easy and required all members of the design and execution team to work through change, replacing established ways of thinking through guided practice to reinforce new habits and hit our goals. Thanks to the TxA audience for sticking around well past our hour to ask questions and learn more.
