关于我们
With a dynamically changing global world, our program trains our financial engineers to adapt theoretical and financial constructs into profitable and innovative opportunities. At the NYU Tandon School of Engineering, we train our students to do exactly that: to engineer the future of finance and transform financial theory into practice. The MS in Financial Engineering program furnishes students with foundational knowledge in financial concepts. This knowledge then becomes a springboard to specialized fields where students can apply concepts to everything from derivatives risk finance to financial IT and algorithmic trading on Big Data. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dcshJLFLj1w Ranked #2 by TFE Times, #7 by QuantNet, and #11 by Risk.Net.

Congratulations to NYU Tandon School of Engineering Visiting Professor Julien Guyon in the Department of Finance and Risk Engineering for being selected Quant of the Year by Risk! This is an amazing achievement. Thank you for all of your contributions to #Quantitative #Finance and our department! #NYUTandonMade
Professor of Applied Mathematics, école nationale des ponts et chaussées, and Visiting Associate Professor, NYU Tandon School of Engineering
I am truly honored to have been voted Quant of the Year 2025 by Risk. It is a great feeling to see my work on path-dependent volatility and on the joint calibration of S&P 500 and VIX smiles recognized by such a major award. This achievement would not have been possible without my co-authors and collaborators, whom I warmly thank, with a special thank you to Scander Mustapha and Florian Bourgey, my co-authors on the awarded papers, and to my longtime friend and co-author Pierre Henry-Labordère. I am also very grateful to Société Générale, Bloomberg, école nationale des ponts et chaussées, BNP Paribas and NYU Tandon School of Engineering for their support throughout my career, and in particular to Lorenzo Bergomi and Bruno Dupire for offering great research environments in industry and giving me the opportunity to work in their fantastic teams at SG and Bloomberg -- I've been lucky. And I look forward to contributing to understanding financial markets even better in the years to come! https://lnkd.in/eaWRk25k Cermics Lab école nationale des ponts et chaussées Institut Polytechnique de Paris Université Paris Cité BNP Paribas CIB NYU Tandon, Finance & Risk Engineering Department NYU Tandon School of Engineering Risk.net Mauro Cesa #pathdependentvolatility #pdv #sp500 #vix #jointcalibration #volatility #quantresearch #riskawards

Thank you so much for your help at the ICAIF conference! Haritha Ganesan Balasubramanian (GB). We're so happy to hear that this was such an inspiring experience for you ??
I had the privilege of volunteering at ICAIF '24 this past week at NYU Tandon, Finance & Risk Engineering Department. It was an incredible experience to engage with cutting-edge ideas at the intersection of AI and finance. A standout moment for me was hearing Dr. Rama CONT speak—his work has been deeply influential in quantitative finance and risk management, and it was exciting to see him present in person. I'm grateful for the opportunity to contribute to such an inspiring event and connect with others advancing this field. Thank you Prof. Renyuan Xu, Prof. Xin Zhang, and Prof. Amine Aboussalah for this opportunity! #AIinFinance #QuantitativeFinance #NYUMFE #ICAIF2024

Another great FRE alumni advice and networking session in the books! This panel centered around mastering technical interview prep, covering key topics like Buy-side vs. Sell-side roles, valuable certifications to enhance your resume, go-to preparation resources, and more. A special thank you to Haojie Jing, CFA, Siyu Ye, Michael Lin, & Tinghao Li for delivering an insightful panel discussion, followed by an engaging breakout session for networking and personalized advice. I’ll close this out with some important thoughts from Haojie Jing, a 2015 grad, about navigating this journey: “You are responsible for filling the gaps in your skillset, and you have to customize your own growth roadmap. Learning and testing are two different things… it’s critical to use resources in the right way.” NYU Tandon, Finance & Risk Engineering Department
