Baedeker is the print & online travel magazine of NYU. The publication features travel writing and photography from around the world submitted by NYU students, alum, and faculty. After deactivating in 2019 due to COVID, Baedeker is back and better than ever, with new events, club collaborations, and forms of travel content both online and physical planned for Spring 2023 and beyond.

We recently had our Baedeker Fall '24 kick-off where we recruited new staff for this semester. It was a pleasure to meet everyone, and the work we have been able to accomplish in the past couple weeks since has far exceeded our expectations. We are so excited for our new edition, published this December!

And with that, the first full year of our resurrection comes to an end and we can emphatically assert that Baedeker is back!! Thank you to Shuhe Ma and Jonny Rothberg for reviving the magazine, Bohan Ma for continuing the journey and instilling a culture of excellence, and the rest of our brilliant staff--whether departing, rising up through, or just joining us--for making it the dynamic, global community it now is. Only a single year! We cannot wait for the next one.
I am beyond excited to announce that the Baedeker Magazine Spring '24 print issue is now out in the world! To say that I'm incredibly proud of this edition would be a huge understatement—this is the culmination of not just all the hard work we have put in this semester, but all the work that has been done since Baedeker's relaunch last year. If you haven't already, go to our new website (nyubaedeker.org) for more! A huge congratulations to our graduating seniors: Bohan Ma (President), Filippo Di Franco (Chief of Photography), Jonny Rothberg (Head of Logistics), Shuhe Ma (Head of Global Strategy), Ben Zhang (Head of Web Design), and Vivian Stockley (Managing Editor). Thank you for everything you've done for this organization! I know that you'll all continue to do great things moving forward. I am also so pleased to announce that I have been elected as Baedeker's new Chief of Global Operations, alongside our new president, Natalia Badger! As her classmate, colleague, and friend, I know she will lead us well, and I look forward to everything we will accomplish together. Remember: life is short, and the world is wide.
