From hands-on cooking to new connections, the Teaching Kitchen with #NYUEats went beyond the recipe book. We were thrilled to learn, savor, and share this culinary experience with fellow food enthusiasts—a perfect start to an unforgettable weekend! Industry Networking & Headshots Happy Hour - NYU Wasserman Center for Career Development Refreshed and reconnected! ?? The Industry Networking & Headshots Happy Hour was the ideal space to elevate my professional game. Engaging with industry leaders and friends Judith Balkin, Jennifer G. Bates, Tom Healey and fellow alumni while updating my personal brand was exhilarating. Nothing like good vibes, new connections, and a fresh headshot to capture the essence of NYU Alumni Weekend! Native & Indigenous Alumni Network - Distant Thunder Musical + Talkback We were deeply moved by the Distant Thunder Indigenous Musical and Talkback—a powerful and unforgettable performance honoring Native and Indigenous voices through music and community. This experience brought culture and inspiration together in a way that only NYU can. Proud and grateful to be part of this evening. On October 9, we partnered with NYU Tandon Career Hub and NYU Wasserman Center for Career Development to host the "NYU Fall 2024 Careers in STEM Fair" at Jacobs Gym @Brooklyn Athletic Facility! Students from all levels—first years to master’s—connected with top employers like STV, TCE, Jacobs, Gilsanz Murray Steficek, Mueser Rutledge Consulting Engineers, Johnson, Mirmiran & Thompson, and many other prestigious engineering firms. Big thanks to everyone who attended and the incredible companies helping shape the future of STEM!

To finish out October, NYU Wasserman Center for Career Development hosted our final DEI Exploration Weeks events for the semester with CHANEL and more specifically with the Atelier Beauté CHANEL. It was so inspiring?learning about the various career paths and determination of the incredible panelists. A big thank you to Kiarra Weir and Martha Sierra-Marshall for helping us coordinate the visit and another big thank you to Jenn Parapar for hosting us in the space. Since we are wrapping up our DEI Exploration Weeks programming for the semester, I want to take a moment and show my appreciation for my team at Wasserman for helping put on 10 events, consisting of 6 employer site visits, 4 panels, and MANY grateful students! I could not have done it without Victoria DiMonica, Dr. Marlene Brito, Michael Santana, and Hetvi Parekh. And thank you to the students! You showed up early, asked great questions, and represented NYU so well!?

NYU College of Arts and Science alumni Caleb Lewis is a current TSY Fellow, and TSY will be attending the upcoming NYU Careers in Government, Education, & Non-profits Fair next week at NYU Wasserman Center for Career Development.

It was exciting to co-host the NYU Wasserman Storytelling Competition on Tuesday, October 22 at the NYU Wasserman Center for Career Development! ???? We witnessed passionate and inspiring stories from students across a range of disciplines, all within a timed-slide presentation framework. A huge thank you to everyone who made this event possible, from the competition participants who worked hard to arrange, practice, and deliver their stories; to my event co-planner and co-host, Jason Walls; to our guest judges, Sherif Barsoum, Sarah E. Shields, Meher Goel, Don Collins, and Annan Deng. This competition was a powerful reminder of the impact of storytelling and the skills and practice it takes to engage well in it. We look forward to continuing to create a space where NYU students and community members can connect through storytelling and inspire and learn from one another. #NYU #Storytelling #CommunityBuilding #Professionalism
