Congrats to Duke Law's 2024 Alexandra D. Korry Civil Rights Fellows for their valuable summer work. Over the past four summers, 34 Duke Law Korry Fellows have pursued internships in public interest organizations thanks to the Korry Fellows Program. These competitive fellowships are awarded to students doing a wide range of domestic civil rights related summer work, including internships in civil rights and criminal justice reform organizations, civil legal aid, juvenile and public defense offices, and organizations supporting immigration, environmental justice, gender equality and the arts. The fellowship was established in honor of Duke Law Alumna Alexandra D. Korry L’86 for her outstanding pro bono civil rights work and her contribution to ending juvenile solitary confinement. The NYU REIT Center promotes the study and analysis of issues, trends and developments that are shaping REITs and their markets. The Center encourages this exploration by engaging REIT executives, investors, academics and professionals to expand our understanding of the evolving world in which REITs invest, raise capital, do business and engage in M&A. The REIT Center provides classes for NYU students on these topics, drawing from multidisciplinary faculty members at the Schack Institute of Real Estate and other NYU programs, as well as seasoned REIT and Wall Street executives and professionals. The Center’s activities include the annual NYU REIT Conference, which has brought together the business and thought leaders in the industry for over 25 years, and a distinguished speaker series that connects our students with key executives.
