Honoring Our History, Shaping a More Equitable Future ??
Women in STEM ?? ?? ?? In 2024, we’re recognizing #170years of #engineering at #NYUTandon In 1854, two schools were founded, forming the earliest foundations upon which NYU Tandon would ultimately be built: The Brooklyn Collegiate and Polytechnic Institute, and the University of the City of New York (now known as #NYU) School of Civil Engineering and Architecture. The two schools, founded to bring engineering education to America's largest metropolis, would merge, diverge, and merge again over the next 170 years. This year, we’re celebrating the past, the present, and the immense potential of the Tandon community in the years ahead. Click the link to learn more about the evolution of NYU Tandon, and stay tuned for a year-long look at the various ways the Tandon community has influenced the world around you. Special thanks to NYU Bern Dibner Library for opening the Poly Archives and sharing this incredible photo with us. #NYUTandonMade https://buff.ly/3S2lvA7
