High school students from Redemption Christian Academy went on an exciting STEAM learning experience, combining space exploration with hands-on robotics and coding. During the session, students learned about Mars and the challenges of landing and moving a spacecraft on the planet. Emilly Obuya, PhD of Be5 STEM Club taught students how to use Edison robots and EdScratch, a block-based programming language. The students worked in pairs collaboratively to code precise navigation paths, guiding their robots across Mars. Through problem-solving, iteration and teamwork students gained valuable insights into real-world aerospace engineering and robotics. The immersive experience helped students develop critical thinking skills while also applying coding and engineering concepts in a real-world scenario!
