The heat is on! $10 million is now available to advance cleaner heating and cooling technology for use in large buildings across the state. The new Clean Heat for All: Packaged Terminal Heat Pump (PTHP) program, announced by Governor Kathy Hochul, aims to support the production of simple, innovative, and energy-efficient cold-climate heat pumps that consumers can use to replace their existing packaged terminal air conditioners and through-wall air conditioners. This type of cold-climate heat pump is a plug-and-play solution that will reduce strain on the electric grid, address New York’s growing need for clean air conditioning and heating solutions, improve comfort and indoor air quality for residents, and reduce emissions from buildings. https://lnkd.in/e879mWt7
