Proud to be on such a hardworking, ambitious team that continues to break down barriers and improve services for the New Yorkers who need them most.
On October 9th, The City of New York held a customer service award ceremony to honor the contributions of municipal employees who made the Jobs NYC hiring hall pilot such an incredible success. Among those receiving awards were NYC Talent's Leah Hebert, Daniel Liss, Joe Rhoades, Grant Yanney, Kimberly Howard and Miles Elijah Gamble! From February - July 2024 the city held 26 hiring halls in all 5 boroughs, which resulted in 8500 individuals being connected to jobs, free training and workforce development services. This whole of government approach spanned multiple Deputy Mayor teams and city agencies, leveraging the passion and dedication of hundreds of committed civil servants. NYC Talent is honored to have played a critical role in developing and launching the Jobs NYC pilot and continues to play a strategic role in collaboration with NYC Department of Small Business Services in leading the next phase of Jobs NYC hiring halls. Starting this fall, hiring halls are now a permanent part of the city's workforce development system with events each month across the city. To learn more, visit jobs.nyc.gov.
