We are excited to announce a Request for Proposals seeking service design and workforce development service providers to co-design and pilot new program models for New Yorkers with disabilities, and to equip employers with tools and strategies necessary for more accessible workplaces. Developed collaboratively by the Mayor's Office for Economic Opportunity, the NYC Department of Small Business Services, NYC Mayor's Office of Talent and Workforce Development, the Center for Workplace Accessibility and Inclusion, and the Mayor's Office for People with Disabilities (MOPD), this $6.4 million initiative marks a significant step towards fostering inclusivity and empowerment in our city.? Our goals are to support New Yorkers with disabilities in finding and keeping quality employment, build evidence for new employment program models, and demonstrate how co-design with community members and employers can be built into City government program design.
