Last week we topped out our work at the the Safra tower in Aventura, Florida. Banker Steel fabricated 1,000 tons for this 12-story, 113,650 SF iconic office building in the shape of an inverted pyramid enveloped in glass curtainwall. Boston’s South Station Tower was included in CNN’s list of the ‘11 Architecture Projects Set to Shape the World in 2025.’ The 51-story tower rises above the historic transportation hub, a Classical Revival station building that has stood there since 1899 and will increase the terminal’s bus capacity by 50%. Banker Steel fabricated 20,000 tons of structural steel for the mixed-use tower, which is set to open this year. Banker Steel / NYC Constructors was recently awarded the fabrication and erection packages as the subcontractor for the new Design Build, Borough Based Jail Program for the Brooklyn Facility. With approximately 10,500 tons of structural steel, the new building will provide 900,000 square feet of facility space. The building will consist of two structures that cantilever into one another around a central opening. #steelfabrication #steelerection #brooklyn #newyorkcity #jail
