I’m thrilled to announce the launch of SipSmrt, a startup I co-founded with Matthew Emerson and Thomas Bird, two fellow Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute students! SipSmrt is all about staying hydrated in the smartest way possible. We’ve developed an attachment for water bottles that tracks your hydration, seamlessly transferring the data into our custom-built app. The journey to bring SipSmrt to life has been exhilarating and incredibly rewarding. We’ve already seen great success, winning third place in the Products track at the NYBPC (New York Business Plan Competition), which has helped kickstart our journey. I’m excited to continue working on this project and can’t wait to see how it grows and evolves.

With more than 50 colleges and universities participating, the competition provides exposure to deal flow and opportunities, opening doors to strategic relationships and growth. We have also been invited to numerous events for startups, one being with Westchester Angels, with an invitation from Claus Kinder, who has been a judge for NYBPC for years. This experience has given us a taste of how far we can go as young entrepreneurs. In addition to the expansion of our network, NYBPC kickstarted our first real pitch deck, in which we have now several many times to fit the situation at hand.
