?? Team Big Tex Trash Co. Wins the FILA Deal Me In Competition at NWRA’s Industry Conference! ?? Last week, the Future Industry Leaders Alliance (FILA)'s Deal Me In Competition brought together emerging leaders in the waste and recycling industry for a fast-paced, high-stakes challenge at National Waste & Recycling Association's Industry Conference in San Antonio. Sponsored by Stifel Financial Corp., this MBA-style case study tasked teams to worked diligently to develop and present bid proposals for a simulated municipal waste services contract, showcasing their strategic thinking, financial analysis, and teamwork. After intense preparation and compelling presentations before a panel of esteemed judges, Team Big Tex Trash Co.—featuring Kevin Duffy (LRS), Morgan Lovett (Liberty Disposal, Inc. Inc.), Charyl Poche (Rockwell Automation), and Tyler White (New Way? Trucks)—took home first place! As part of their victory, they will be donating to the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children. A huge congratulations to all participating teams for their hard work, strategic thinking, and teamwork, as well as to our second and third-place teams and their charities: ?? Last month, NWRA President and CEO Michael E. Hoffman kicked off the NWRA FILA Fall Summit with an inspiring talk about the future direction of the Association and the vital role FILA members will play as the next generation of leaders in our industry. During the summit, FILA members had the opportunity to learn about Disney’s innovative environmental practices, participate in a meaningful recycling initiative that will help create 100,000 new bars of soap for those in need, and hear valuable insights from industry executives.
