OUR MISSION: The Northwest Ohio Women’s Business Council is dedicated to recognizing a diverse group of female entrepreneurs whose women-owned businesses have achieved success and contribute to the economic well-being of our community. We celebrate their accomplishments and support them by telling their encouraging stories. WHO WE ARE: We are a diverse group of women committed to women entrepreneurs' status in our ecosystem. Under the governance of the Women of Toledo’s Economic Development Initiative, we established the Northwest Ohio Women’s Business Council. The Women's Business Council, strives to promote, support, and celebrate entrepreneurship in our community. WHAT WE DO: Through the Women’s Entrepreneurial Distinction Ovation Awards (WEDO Awards), we; -Recognize excellence -Provide a better narrative on the identity and storytelling of diverse women-owned businesses within our ecosystem. -Increase visibility and opportunity to close the economic inequality (network gap) in the area.

Today is Giving Tuesday! ?? Since our inception, WOT has organized over 407 programs and activities, serving 9,443 participants, with 83% of these services offered at no cost. Our work has empowered an average of 120 women in transition annually, connecting them to economic opportunities, resources, and peer networks. We’ve also equipped 65 young women each year to claim leadership roles in every space they occupy unapologetically. It’s not too late to join our Circle of Supporters and make a gift to our organization if you believe in what we do!
