NWI Nashville had a blast participating in Metro Nashville Public Schools' career exploration fair designed to inspire and inform 9th-grade students as they explore various career paths and begin shaping their futures. At NWI, we are proud to showcase the exciting opportunities in advanced manufacturing and aerospace. It was also great running into our friends from Tennessee College of Applied Technology - Nashville while there, further reinforcing the value of partnerships in shaping the next generation of skilled professionals. NWI Wichita proudly hosted our annual United Way breakfast to kick off our United Way of the Plains campaign! Together, we enjoyed some biscuits and gravy and took the opportunity to reflect on how our support can make a lasting impact in our community. Supporting United Way of the Plains is a chance for us to come together, strengthen local programs, and bring resources to those who need them most. NWI Wichita employees were 'Creepin' it Real' at the Park City Chamber Trunk or Treat event. Our team transformed our van into a mummy, brought a giant plinko game for kids to enjoy, and handed out goody bags packed with spooky airplanes and treats for all the little ghouls and goblins. ??♂??? We recently had the privilege of recognizing a wonderful group of employees who have reached milestone anniversaries with NWI Wichita in 2024 – ranging from 5 to an incredible 40 years! It was a great event filled with laughter, gratitude, and reflection. Many of our honorees brought guests to share in the celebration, making the time together even more special. Managers took turns sharing fun – and at times, very touching – stories about each employee, highlighting their unique contributions and the positive impact they've made over the years. This week, The Salvation Army South Central Kansas Warm Hearts Coat Distribution is helping 1,000-1,200 local families stay warm by providing coats and other items, and we’re proud to see NWI Wichita employees volunteering to support this important cause. Our team is always eager to give back, and their dedication to the community shines through efforts like this. We are excited to announce that NWI Nashville was one of just three finalists in the “Competitive Collaboration” category at the Airbus Global Supplier Conference, recognized for our outstanding work on the AXess Sprint Programme! While the award went to Collins Aerospace, we’re honored to be in such exceptional “high” company. With 15 supplier finalists across five award categories - and Airbus working with over 100+ suppliers globally - this recognition is a significant achievement for NWI. A big shoutout to Walt Sirmans and Keith Jennette, who proudly represented NWI Nashville in Toulouse. NWI Nashville presented a check to McGavock High School in support of its Academy of Aviation and Transportation.?The Academy educates high school students in preparation for careers in aerospace, aviation, and mechatronics. This donation will go towards purchasing iMacs for flight simulation, airplane design, and testing in x-plane, as well as for processing and editing drone footage. As the sole aviation program for high school students in Nashville, McGavock is in a prime position to introduce students to careers in aviation. ??????????????? The check was presented and accepted by Isis, a junior from McGavock High School. She is enrolled in the Academy of Aviation and Transportation program and aspires to be an engineer or mechanic in the aviation industry, and we’re thrilled to help support her journey along with the other students at McGavock’s Academy of Aviation and Transportation. ? #nwi #aerospace #manufacturing #givingback #futureleaders

This past Saturday, NWI Wichita hosted a fantastic company picnic at Chicken N Pickle! ??
