Recently, our humanitarian team, Multnomah County's Emergency Services Director, Chris Voss, and local businesses gathered to discuss the impact of the warming shelter in the Pearl District. While the shelter provided vital refuge, challenges like safety concerns and parking issues were raised. The county is reevaluating the shelter's future use. ?? Over the past months, we've seen a 75% reduction in the number of tents in the Pearl District and along I-5. This progress has been made possible through the efforts of our Community Coordinator’s and ongoing collaboration with local organizations, businesses and residents.
