We’re pleased to announce Alexander Holbrook with his “Red Barn” concept as the winner of our Thimbleberry Collaborative Farm Classroom Design Charrette! Judge: “#1: I love the barn concept and the extra shade provided by the big overhang(s). Also love the open floor plan and how they're thinking about air and light moving through. And the comparison of the interior to a bell pepper! ??” Designs by Michelle D. Mueller and Charles Carr came in 2nd and 3rd. And our Judge requested a specific Honorable Mention for Unyatinszki Erika’s design stating “#4: (Couldn't leave this one out, maybe they can get an honorable mention?) I like the creative roof shape, the garage door at the front, and the storage above the office and bathroom.” Thimbleberry President Amanda: “I know this is just the beginning and we'll take elements from each for the schematic design ??. But this is so cool!! What a great process. Please thank all the participants on behalf of all of us at Thimbleberry! We really appreciate everyone's thoughtfulness, creativity, and effort, and we welcome everyone to visit us at the farm if they'd like!”

The Northwest Rebuild Project is a Volunteer group consisting of Designers, Drafters, Architects, and Engineers. Our mission is to help victims of natural disasters in the northwest rebuild their homes. We provide designs and construction documents free of charge. We also assist in finding a general contractor to build your home, as well as provide a list of services available to the homeowner through Local and Federal programs.

Guess what is almost finished!! Boyes Family Homes (2 weeks ago) coming along nicely! For those that are unfamiliar, this was a challenging design as it’s built on a small building area. We maximized sight lines for deaf family members. Don’t be fooled by the height, this is a single floor home with loft storage, and outdoor underground storage. We can’t wait to celebrate the completion of yet another NW Rebuild Project home!
