NuVuX is an initiative developed by NuVu to bring design, creativity and innovation to schools and organizations around the world. NuVu was founded to rigorously train students to develop innovative approaches to real-world problems, which we believe is an essential skill set for success beyond secondary education. Our pedagogy is founded on the principles of the architectural studio model and centers on hands-on learning-by-doing under the guidance of experts whom we call “Coaches.” Through multi-disciplinary projects, we help students navigate the messiness of the creative process through collaboration, iterative design and critique. Through NuVuX, we offer a number of programs and consulting services for educators, schools and professional organizations seeking to learn, enhance or implement a practice of innovation and creativity. NuVuX consists of multiple components that are implemented collectively for greater impact, including: program and curriculum development, onsite experts (NuVu Fellows), rotating experts, remote experts, in-house professional development, an online Studio Management Platform (SMP), and space planning for fab labs, shops and makerspaces.

Many familiar faces at this year's AISNE Heads of School conference!
NuVu High School Co-Founder & CEO Saeed Arida just returned from the AISNE Heads of School conference, held this year at? the picturesque Wentworth by the Sea in NH. Each year, AISNE invites its member schools' heads to this annual event—which reached a record attendance of 120 heads this year. “Despite being my first retreat, I felt right at home,” says Saeed. ” NuVu has welcomed students from many of these schools, while NuVuX has collaborated with several others over the past few years. Connecting with these school leaders and sharing stories about the evolving landscape of private education was invaluable. The retreat even featured several AI-focused sessions that sparked fascinating discussions about the future of education”.

This past Fall, NuVu Co-founder Saba Ghole joined forces with leaders in education to co-facilitate the Revolution in Education Congress 2024: From Maker Spaces to Maker Cultures in Bogotá, Colombia at Gimnasio Los Caobos @glcaobos. This year has been a testament to the power of #collaboration, #creativity, and #purpose-driven #leadership, and I’m incredibly proud of some of the milestones achieved along the way: ?? #AGBUInnovationStudios: Four years ago, I had the privilege of contributing to the launch of this transformative program - from overseeing the renovation of the state-of-the-art #makerspace, alongside a team of brilliant architects to heading the development of the program. The program was built to empower the next generation of game changers through hands-on learning, creativity, and real-world problem-solving. ?? Building a Strong Advisory Board: I helped bring together a remarkable group of 20+ industry professionals who played instrumental roles as advisors, guest speakers, and long-term studio coaches, elevating the program to new heights. ?? Second Annual #YouthInnovationDay: In June, I had the privilege of organizing the second annual Youth Innovation Day, an all-day event bringing together top industry professionals to share their knowledge and inspire the next generation of innovators. Building on the success of our first year, where we had the incredible opportunity to host Robin the Robot, by Expper Technologies, this year’s event grew even further with the addition of a cultural and culinary component. We were honored to host renowned chef, author, and food blogger Ara Zada, who brought flavors and stories of Armenian cuisine to life. ?? #TEDEd Event License: Partnering with the incredible Kristine Sargsyan, I had the honor of organizing a TED-Ed event empowering 10 bright young voices to share their stories and shine on stage. ?? #NuVuInnovation Partnership: A continued partnership with NuVuX brought enriching experiences for our students, including my participation in their annual innovation camp in Cambridge, MA. ? A #Disney Milestone – Showcasing Armenian Culture: I was honored to invite and welcome Kathleen Sarnelli Kapukchyan, whose inspiring career at Disney includes leading the unforgettable episode of "Vardavar at Disney”, where she beautifully showcased Armenian culture on a global stage.? ?? Cultural Celebration Honoring Komitas: Participating in a significant cultural event dedicated to #Komitas, a prominent figure in Armenian music and cultural heritage, our young innovators proudly showcased their skills through an amorphous laser-cut tribute to Komitas and demonstrated their #AR/VR innovations. ??♀? Personal Milestone: On a personal note, after a 10-year break from my last half marathon, I proudly completed the LA 5K-a reminder that every step counts, both professionally and personally. ??To everyone in my professional network who took time out of their busy schedules to share their expertise with our youth - THANK YOU! We can’t say no to a stunning backdrop of the beautiful city of Barcelona while sitting atop a sunny hill. Last Fall, Colegio Montserrat invited NuVuX to run an exciting two-and-a-half-day PD workshop at their K-12 campus in Barcelona, part of the Nazaret Foundation’s school network. With a shared vision to advance teaching and learning within their school, the 50+ administrators and educators in attendance embraced the concepts and practice of innovation as part of our Innovation Accelerator.
