Here are our highlights from the week?? Updates on the economic impact of #PRRSv: ?? A new analysis from Iowa State University estimates that PRRSv caused $1.2 billion in annual production losses in the U.S. pork industry from 2016 to 2020, marking an 80% increase compared to a decade earlier. ?? The increase in losses is primarily due to a higher percentage of herds affected by PRRSv and productivity gaps between healthy and infected herds, rather than shifts in market prices or production costs. NutriQuest is tackling PRRSv head-on with our new partnership with Modulant Biosciences, which has discovered a small molecule capable of combating the PRRSv virus.
