SOUTH BY SOUTHWEST? A huge thank you to Scottish Enterprise and the Foras Group for selecting Nursery Story to attend the South by Southwest event in Austin, Texas to meet with global entrepreneurs and investors on our journey as a UK tech start company. The South by Southwest was an opportunity to network with global entrepreneurs from a variety of sectors to learn and educate each other through feature talks, panel discussions and exhibits. As one of the few female entrepreneurs in the tech industry, it was a real honour for me to be selected to attend this prestigious event. My favourite highlight was the Breaking Barriers and Achieving the Impossible panel discussion led by Dr Jen Welter. Jen was the first female coach for National Football League in the US and it was inspiring and encouraging to learn and hear Jen’s journey on how she overcame challenges as a female in leadership and how as woman we can support each other in business.
