Nursing includes "finding compassion for all and never letting interactions affect the quality of care" (Marian University). Nurses play a crucial role in ensuring the health and safety of LGBTQ community members by providing compassionate, nonjudgmental care and addressing their unique medical needs. By fostering an inclusive and respectful environment, nurses help reduce health disparities and improve overall outcomes for LGBTQ individuals. The NIH estimates members of the LGBTQ community are victims of violent hate crimes 8x more often than non-members. Let's care for all!
