You can still get a non-bedside nursing job without being specialty certified. It's common for us to want to stand out as much as possible when applying for roles, so the question about remote nursing certifications often comes up. (pssst there is no "remote nursing certification") The best certification you can hold is one for your current specialty. In fact, OCN is the one I most commonly see the past few months. (Oncology nurses, you are in high demand) I like to share this to help take the pressure off one more thing you think you need to do or pursue while looking for non-bedside and remote nursing roles. So if you see CCM, ACM, etc... on a job posting of preferred requirements, just know that one day you will get there. We also have an article on this topic - Do I Need a Remote Nursing Certification? https://lnkd.in/g4skYmWp And to those who celebrate, Happy Certified Nurses Day!

Management, micromanagement, and pay are the top reasons nurses share for leaving remote nursing jobs.? Bad management definitely exists everywhere, it's not an exclusive trophy of any specific work environment. So.... today's evil would you rather question is Would you rather be micromanaged working at the bedside or from home? We know the obvious answer is neither, but this is similar to asking if you'd rather eat a spider or a scorpion, pick one for funsies. ??
