Over this past weekend, we inked a milestone at?The Nursing Beat, closing our first round of funding for our Series A raise. This would not have been possible without the steadfast support of?connectRN?and Cherrystone Angel Group. We’re also excited to welcome a new investor: Nurse Capital, the only nurse-led investment fund in the U.S., formed by #nurse executives and leaders. As a female #nurse entrepreneur, I can tell you that the funding landscape has been brutal. Why do we dedicate countless hours to building a #media platform for nurses? 1?? Nurses are the end-users of clinical products and technologies and deserve a seat at the table in shaping and #innovating these products ourselves. 2?? With AI becoming integral in healthcare, nurses should be active participants in this evolution, not just passive recipients. 3?? Nurses across the U.S. face challenging conditions—long hours and, too often, workplace violence. We need systemic change to ensure that nurses can do their jobs safely and fairly. 4?? Nurses are quoted in only 2% of media coverage. It’s time for us to lead the conversation, offering clinical insights and perspectives that extend beyond the “most trusted profession” label.
