"A Journey to Independence for Sara Sara's from Connecticut was recently gifted a used power chair. When we started chatting, I told her how amazing it would be to have a brand-new chair custom-fitted just for her, packed with features to boost her independence. At first, she was unsure how to make it happen or whether it would even be affordable. That’s when I stepped in to guide her through the process! My mission is to bring all the pieces together—suppliers, manufacturers, staff, doctors, and all the paperwork. We gather the documentation and, in just a few months, aim to have a power chair (valued between $30,000 to $60,000) delivered to her home, free of charge. All Sara had to do was choose her favorite color! We had the option to go with two DME (Durable Medical Equipment) companies, Numotion or the other guys... I explained to Sara that Numotion had its ordering process down to a science, with a great team to work with. I reached out to Gary, a VP of Numotion, who helped us put together a fantastic local team: Toby (the ATP) Assistive Technology Professional, is a certified specialist who evaluates the needs of individuals with disabilities and helps select, fit, and customize assistive technology devices for them. In the context of mobility solutions like power wheelchairs, Martha (the customer support agent), and Stacy (the Director of Operations). This group worked tirelessly, day in and day out, arranging seating evaluations, collaborating with Sara's doctors to get all the necessary documentation, and keeping the order on track. Even when challenges arose, they tackled them head-on, proving that nothing was too tough for this team! Today, I’m thrilled to share that Sara chose the color *Spring Green* for her new Permobil M3! ?? So, if you’re ever in the Connecticut area and you see her rolling around with a huge smile on her face, give her a thumbs up as she confidently navigates her world in her new ride!"

Another amazing week of giving back! Last week our employees Teamed Up with one another during a nationwide community service week! Employees shared their time and talents with their neighbors, community, and industry partners throughout the week. Some acts of service included collecting items for those affected by Hurricane Helene and Milton, donating blood, doing neighborhood clean-ups, and volunteering with a local charity in Florida that raises money for families of fallen first responders. #CommunityServiceWeek #TeamUp

November is Epilepsy Awareness Month. Numotion customer Avery lives in Louisiana with her mom, dad, and brother. She was diagnosed with Adenlysuccinate Lyase Deficiency, a metabolic, genetic disorder when she was 8 months old and developed epilepsy at 3 months old and continues to have almost daily seizures. Avery and her mom attended the Taylor Swift Eras Tour concert and shared these photos! "Avery lives with epilepsy and sometimes it seems to take over her life. Last weekend though, she (and I) had the time of our lives. Thank you Jesus for her JOY." - Avery's mom.

History was made at the NYC Marathon! For the first time, both the men’s and women’s wheelchair events were won by Americans. We are excited to celebrate their achievements that pushed the limits of what’s possible in adaptive sports, and we’re proud to support the pursuit of independence and mobility.
