The PyLops development team has delivered 3 major releases at the end of 2024: PyLops core library (v2.4.0) has introduced new and efficient operators, PyProximal (v0.10.0) has added AndersonProximalGradient and iPALM solvers, and PyLops-mpi (v0.2.1) has added support for using CuPy arrays with PyLops-MPI. Congrats, PyLops!

The very first PyBaMM conference was held from the 5th-6th of February in London! The conference had over 130 attendees from all over the world and seven plenary speakers from UK, US, Germany, China and Sweden. Incredible work and here’s to many more, PyBaMM!

As the year began, Open2C’s four most popular packages were granted NumFOCUS affiliation: Bioframe, Pairtools, Cooler, and Cooltools! ?? Open2C also published three impactful articles on sequencing data, Hi-C analysis in Python, and genomic intervals in Pandas dataframes. Huge congrats to Open2C for this eventful year! ??
