#GEVernova's #AdvancedResearchCenter has successfully completed the independent verification and validation milestone of the United States Department of Defense, Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency (#DARPA) AIR2WATER project, demonstrating the completion of the Atmospheric Water Extraction (AWE) program. GE Vernova’s #AdvancedResearch Center successfully designed, constructed, and tested a standalone, sorbent-integrated #AIR2WATER prototype system, which utilizes advanced metal-organic framework (MOF) sorbents for the deployable production of distilled and potable water. The Numat team exhibited key technologies to US and international chemical and biological defense communities at this week’s CBD S&T Conference 2024 in Fort Lauderdale. Numat was honored to host a working session with @Senator Tammy Duckworth (Senate Armed Service Committee) and various acquisition, technology and industrial base policy leaders from the @USDepartmentofDefense at our new nanomanufacturing campus in Chicago. We discussed how Numat’s solutions, enabled by metal-organic frameworks (#MOFs), are playing a critical role in protecting people and planet from hazardous chemicals, and how we can partner to accelerate scaled deployment. Key take-ways included: ? We had an incredible time connecting at the National Coalition of Clean Energy Incubators (NCCEI) event! The discussions focused on how historic federal policies are driving U.S. energy innovation and addressed the unique challenges faced by early-stage clean energy entrepreneurs. With remarks from Representative Sean Casten, Representative Mike Levin, and Senator Edward Markey, to insightful panels moderated by Evergreen CEO Michelle Carr and Los Angeles Cleantech Incubator (LACI) CEO Matt Petersen, the event emphasized the importance of ongoing support for startups in the clean energy space and celebrated the hard work of our entrepreneurs and representatives. At Evergreen, we remain dedicated to working with LACI all the partners with NCCEI to accelerate energy innovation and ensure our startups have the tools they need to succeed.
