Open to Northwestern University staff members: The?Northwestern University - Office of the Vice President for International Relations?is accepting applications for the?2025 Big Ten Academic Alliance Staff Development Program on Internationalization. https://lnkd.in/gSUg3b7e Application Deadline: Monday, October 28, 2024 This cohort-based program has been developed for Big Ten Academic Alliance institution staff members to learn about the internationalization of higher education and best partnership practices throughout the Big Ten and with partners abroad. The 2025 program includes participation?in?5 virtual webinars and 5 coffee hours?(starting in January 2025, usually held on Fridays), and a?one-week in-person field experience in Spain?from June 7-14, 2025.?

Deepening our international collaborations and advancing global research are top priorities for Northwestern University. Yesterday, we hosted a delegation from National Yang Ming Chiao Tung University for a full day of collaborative discussions and knowledge exchange across our Evanston and Chicago campuses. Our agenda was packed with sessions that span critical areas of innovation, research, medicine, engineering, computer science, and more, with breakout sessions covering smart healthcare, biomedical devices, big data & AI in medicine, and chip design & memory. We look forward to following up on our productive discussions and creating new global innovation opportunities!

We are excited to announce the continuation of our collaborations with National Taiwan University (NTU), the Taipei Economic and Cultural Office in Chicago (TECO), and the Friends of Taiwan Foundation!????? Last week, we signed the renewal of our MOU with NTU, a significant step in expanding our collaborations and a signal to the strength and mutual interest in the partnership. This agreement, with the financial support from TECO and Friends of Taiwan Foundation, opens up new opportunities for our students and faculty. Last week, we welcomed Laurel Rosch and Martha Cooper to campus to showcase the outstanding work of Northwestern’s 2024 IREP scholars Elisabeth Khatchidze and Ma?lys Raffin in the Poeppelmeier?Research Group and Kanatzidis?Research Group labs, respectively. ? Northwestern University's partnership with the Big Ten Academic Alliance and the CMI Réseau FIGURE in France brings these talented international students to campus, providing exceptional research and cross-cultural exchange opportunities.
