#InnovationDay is going to be a great event for the San Diego startup scene, and I want to thank Connect and Mike Krenn for their leadership in organizing such an impactful day for our community. A special shout-out to fellow NuFund Venture Group member Amy Duncan and The Brink SBDC for the incredible work they do in supporting early-stage startups. Their efforts truly make a difference in helping innovative companies grow and thrive in our region. I'm looking forward to judging alongside a very talented group of fellow judges—Maria Gonzalez-Blanch, JJ Richa, and Hem Suri. Our job won’t be easy as all three finalists—Alleo Labs (J Ross, Ph.D.), Ascender Systems (Jorge M.), and Lanuaria Therapeutics (Elena Brin)—are solving real problems in innovative ways with excellent leadership teams. The competition will be tough, but I know that whoever wins will be a worthy choice.
